James P. Johnston
Bio
James P. Johnston has been researching the assassination of
President John F. Kennedy for more than 30 years. He is co-author of “Flight
from Dallas: New Evidence of CIA Involvement in the Murder of President John F.
Kennedy.”
Johnston
is senior partner with The Johnston Law Offices, of Wichita, Kan., a firm he
started in 1979. The firm provides
legal services for workers’ compensation, personal injury and sexual harassment
cases. Johnston previously worked in private law firms and for the state of
Kansas in the workers’ compensation division.
He has received numerous awards from the Kansas Trial Lawyers
Association and recognition for his work in Social Security disability cases.
Johnston
is president of the Americans United for Separation of Church and State’s
Wichita chapter and vice president of the American Civil Liberties Union’s
Wichita chapter. He is also a community advocate for the World Federalist
Association and a member of the Kansas Writers Association and the Lambda Legal
Defense Fund.
Graduating
in 1956 from Kansas University Law School, Johnston also earned a bachelor’s
degree in political science in 1954 from Wichita State University.
